It is widely known that almost all counterfeit bearings circulating in the world are made in China.

These bearings, exported from China, are labeled as unbranded and unmarked to avoid export restrictions. Once they arrive at their destination, they are branded by syndicates and put on the market as counterfeit goods.

The packaging plays a crucial role in this branding process, transforming unbranded products into counterfeits. Without packaging, the product cannot function. Counterfeiters manufacture the bearing and packaging separately, then combine them to complete the fake product.

In recent years, we at NSK have focused on cracking down on counterfeit packaging manufacturers.

This April, a manufacturer of counterfeit NSK branded shipping cartons in Linqing City, Shandong Province, China, was busted through a joint operation between the Guan County Public Security Bureau and the Guan County Beitao Town Police Station. Normally, seizures would be limited to the finished boxes from manufacturing sites and warehouses, but this time, the printing plates used to mass-produce the products were also seized.

While this is only the tip of the iceberg, we will continue our efforts to eliminate counterfeit goods from the market, protecting NSK product users and the public who use them from dangerous situations caused by counterfeits, by cracking down on manufacturers and distributors of counterfeit products.
