Counterfeit bearings are a risk for all parties in the supply chain, like manufacturers (brand owners), distributors and end-users. There are several possibilities to fight against this risk. The most successful still is – and probably always will be – to prevent customers from buying counterfeit products.
A new short film series by the German Anti-Counterfeiting Association APM (“Aktionskreis gegen Produkt- und Markenpiraterie”), together with multiple partners, among them Schaeffler, raises awareness for the topic of counterfeiting, especially among young people.
The new films were produced as part of a competition among students of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The series has already won the Annual Multimedia Digital Talents Award 2020 and has been awarded with “gold” in the category “student films” at Internationale Wirtschaftsfilmtage 2020.
The result? Four short, tongue-in-cheek videos transporting the message “Fake products will let you down”.
